We offer you a personal website for free. When you create your profile you can choose to have your own website (if you skipped that option, you can activate it in a later stage). This step allows you to immediately announce the publication of your new book on your personal website. The url of your website will be used for various promotion activities. Therefore it is important to keep it up-to-date.

Click “my website” in the menu and you will be able to:

• Post a new blog
• Add images to your blog posts
• Fill in and/or edit the introduction text
• Add your favourite links

Tips

• Stay active with your blogs and connect them to your social media through linking to your website
• Attract a fan base that will follow you
• Quickly respond to messages from your visitors

What does the step “website” entail?
We offer you your own website for free. When creating your profile (See: my account) you can indicate your want a personal website. If you skipped this option, you can go back later and activate it. This step allows you to build and maintain your website:

• Introduction: your introduction text and image will be placed on your website
• The book(s) you publish will automatically appear on your website
• You can write and update your blog posts
• Visitors of your website can share the link with friends
• You can invite people to become followers
• Visitors can send you messages
• You can set your own background on the page
• Naturally visitors can purchase your book(s) directly via your website

Do I have to pay for my own website?
No, your website comes for free!

Do all my books automatically appear on my website?
Yes, when you have published your book, it will automatically appear on your website as well as on our webshop. This does not apply to books that have been published at the private publication level; those titles are only visible to you.

How do I get my website?
When creating your profile, you can choose this option. If you do so, it will automatically be set up for you and you can start using it.

Doesn’t it take a lot of effort to maintain my website?
No, not at all. We take care of the design and make sure your website is already filled with your information. You can add blog posts very easily yourself.

How do I attract visitors to my website?
In any case, take all the necessary steps in our promotion process, this increases the chance that a lot of people will visit your website. Naturally, the quality of your book also plays a role: in the end readers has to like your book and share this via social media, for example. At promotion step 3 (social media) we allow you to place ‘widgets’ (mini websites) on social media or other websites. These widgets link directly to your own website.

I already have a website. Is that a problem?
No, it isn’t. In that case you can choose not to have a personal website via us, but it is also all right if you decide you do wish to have one.
